To the cute young guy (ie under 30) who smiled sweetly at me at the gas station and continued to smile and wave at me all the way home up Lamar, even after spotting the car seats and the two year old in the back --

thanks dude. for totally making my day.

While waiting for food

as I stumble out of bed in the morning, I am usually greeted by a request for an "almondbutternjellyapplebuttersandwhich." It's not every morning though, that I am greeted with such a splendid display of what one desires most.

Anniversary

Last year's anniversary celebration seemed a bit more decadent (in the way of crepes at least) but a quiet celebration is still a celebration. We snuck out to dinner with Sinda & Jesse and ate at Uchi on the big day.

And for part deux (because I'm the type of gal who can milk any sort of holiday/event/errand for all it's worth), this past weekend my folks came up and did some serious grandparenting while Smith and I lolled about the shores of Lake Austin and got rubbed with warm oil. There was also some hammock time. Yeah. It was good.

Halloweenies

Do ya'll wake up to find faces in your fruit? Apparently I do. At least it was smiling. Boo!



Prior to the big trick-or-treat event, every halloween should had a banging loud marching parade. I highly recommend it. Sort of makes the post treat sugar high something to look forward to.
