District 9.


Before that? Of course, Night of the Living Dead.

Good science fiction isn't about aliens/weird stuff (which does have its place and is good fun - Men In Black being a good example here.) But good science fiction is created to show us more about ourselves.

District 9 was not what I was expecting. But I'm glad it wasn't, it was much better.
