In Case The Pictures Don't Come Out, Today Was A Perfect Day*

(*to borrow the line from a children's poem in one of the kids' books.)

I woke up to J announcing in my ear: "pancakes ready pancakes ready pancakes ready"

Smith started work on the linen closet project.

Sinda a)gave us free tickets to ACL AND b)volunteered to watch our kids.

We arrived just in time to hear DeVotchKa and find our friend Jesse.

And they TOTALLY ROCKED. They had an accordion. they had a tuba. the drummer was playing the trumpet. and the singer has an incredible voice. (and is just a little hot.)

Then came Regina Spektor. (which you can totally link to from the sidebar if you haven't already.) She played solo onstage. And she was wonderful.

Then we easily returned to our car, went and had dinner.

We picked up the kids and they fell asleep on the ride home.

AH.

Sounds like a great Austin day!

what's with all the anti-humidity? I, for the record, LOVE humidity. Not Houston-like proportions, certainly, but I cannot stand dry skin, dry nasal passages, dry lips...can''t stand them. Can we stop knocking humidity? Can't we all just get along?

OK, had to get it off my chest.

I'm glad you had fun, Kris - I had a blast with the kids!
