In all the hoopla regarding the tour, I did not mention a lovely spot in my backyard - courtesy of my mom. She helped dig a heck of a lot of holes in the front yard as we prepared for the big day, and then she disappeared into the back to work on this:
It may not look like much in the photo, but it is a delightful little herb garden at the base of one of our sycamore trees. I also have to give Sinda a big thanks for the beautiful, modern yard art - the ceramic stool. I do actually sit there a bit from time to time and look at my tiny herbs coming up.
Caterpillars have also discovered the fennel and have devoured it. Sadly, I think most of the gazillion fat juicy guys were eaten by wasps or birds. But if I see a sudden outbreak of swallowtail butterflies in my backyard, I will be very glad.

Finally! And the stool is lovely.
You have an outstanding good and well structured site. I enjoyed browsing through it
