Now I guess I really HAVE to ask...

Shortly after posting the loving review of Smith's providing me with morning coffee, he decides he's going to give it up (a little.) As in: stop making any coffee on weekday mornings.

sigh.

and yes. I'm perfectly capable of making my own, even have a machine to make it for me and have it ready and hot at the appointed time. but I won't.

so bear with me while I make my way through coffee-free, fennel-toothed days.

the fennel toothpaste has proved to be one of my weirdest impulse buys. What are some of yours?

JASON Tea Tree & Cinnamon Mouth Rinse. It leaves a clovey aftertaste. I like it, but you have to dilute it before use.

How's the no coffee thing working? Personally, I'd just make it myself. Like oxygen, I can't seem to live without it.

I picked up a package of green tea flavored soba noodles recently in an Asian market. Have you ever used these? I love soba noodles, and these seemed like an interesting change of pace. Anyway, they're green! My favorite color!

My word verification is "bional". That seems like a real word, though I couldn't tell you what is means.

I always make myself black English tea first thing in the morning, but I love it when Anthony's coffee pot has enough left for me to make myself an afternoon pick-me-up. Anthony makes REALLY good coffee. Sigh - he's out of town this week, and I won't brew it just for myself, either.

All my impulse buys are gourmet food items, like the curry flavored dried chickpeas I got at an Indian market (think wasabi peas, but totally different). Just to complete the S. Asian theme...

In truth, you never actually drink the coffee. You get a cup, put coffee in it, add cream and sugar, and then let it cool to room temperature. I don't believe that any of it actually makes it to your body as evidenced by the mostly full coffee cups I clear from your place at the breakfast table. I have been thinking of leaving potpourri pots full of coffee grounds around the house. I think this will have the same affect on you in terms of ingestion of caffeine.

Ah, so its the ritual she will miss: Smith making the coffee, Kris anticipating it, fixing it, smelling it, keeping it company, then having it magically disappear again, until the next day. Like an Asian tea ceremony!
