Mama's Day

Never take anything for granted.

Like children that are healthy and know how to hug you good morning. And make you Mother's Day cards, delivered with a smile. And pick bouquets with the perfect balance of color and shape to grace the table.

Or husbands that do dishes, clean kitchens, make ricotta pancakes & bacon while the coffee is hot. Or change the lightbulb that takes the really tall ladder. Or (finally) hang doors to bedrooms so they will close! and lock! and open and close!

I don't take these thing for granted. Because not everyone can make cards, make pancakes or hang doors. Nor care about them. These things are my gifts today! And I am blessed.

And for my own beautiful mother on this day, a difficult day as you are endeavoring to mother you own parent, you will always be the best model of a mother. ever. I love you and I wish my many hugs could reach you today.

I agree wholeheartedly with what Jennifer said. And I wish I could give a big hug to Marie, as well. She is a wonderful Mother.
